It is impossible to create something that cannot first be visualized! Can you clearly see, if you close your eyes, how you’d like to look physically?
I played competitive softball year round from ages 8-18. One thing this really taught me was the power of visualization. Sounds silly but before every at bat, I would look out at the field and visualize where I am going to hit the ball. I’d see myself swinging at bat, connecting with the softball, and placing it right by that left field fence. This increased my confidence because i saw myself doing it, and then pumped up how my performance was because of that confidence! It’s a great cycle. I use this technique in training of clients and myself. I always say “See it, believe it, and you will achieve it!”
So again I ask you, can you close your eyes, and see yourself hitting your goals? Do you see the physical change on your body? Can you feel how your favorite jeans are fitting? Etc. Etc.!
2 tips: 1- Describe every detail you can in a diary. Map out the growth you are looking for. 2- Feel the emotional intensity of that picture. How you are going to feel with this new physicality.
Go out there and SEE your best self!
