So it’s Wednesday, you had a few workouts already this week, work may be stressing you & the kids may be cranky. OH and you’re body is sore! Maybe your body is tired or you didn’t refuel as well as you should, all you know is you keep thinking of your personal trainer every time you brush your hair or put a seatbelt on!!

Here are some tips I like to use when this scenario begins… First, never completely stop moving. That couch looks awfully comfortable, but I guarantee you will hurt more if you veg out & skip your exercise. Second, stretching, yoga, massage or foam roll has to become apart of your weekly routine. You need some activity that relaxes those hard working muscles and that provides new blood into your system. Check your food. Are you stress eating with extra sugar? Don’t! How’s your protein intake? Sooo necessary to rebuild the muscles you broke down which is what you’re complaining about!! Lastly, hydrate baby! You must hydrate your fascia. This will tremendously help with what you are feeling. (And for me that’s by far the easiest to add to your routine, just grab another green teas or lemon water)

Self magazine has a great article with some more helpful hints to deal with soreness here. Most importantly, embrace your soreness and be thankful that your body moves to feel that way; because your alive!!
