Every year 1.5 million Americans are diagnosed with diabetes. About 1 in every 3 Americans die from a cardiovascular disease. 17% of children from ages 2 to 19 are considered obese.
Do these facts scare you? They should! What can we do? Well for starters, get your kids moving with YOU! Keep everyone healthy!
As you know, in the summer I travel to households in Avalon and Stone Harbor bringing “the gym” to clients. Let’s be real, most of these households at the Jersey Shore are packed with generations of families. Kudos to those individuals scheduling time for themselves to workout during busy hosting times, but why don’t we create family bonding time to keep everyone healthy?
Functional training – full body movements, can be done by anyone, age, sex or shape. Let your family learn more about their body and most importantly FEEL empowered after their workout. Let everyone have fun, make funny faces at each other, while they are squatting and doing push ups. Avoid letting your family be apart of those statistics!
Pictured here, I stopped in to my clients’ on a Saturday morning in Avalon, NJ and all of the grandkids joined our workout. Not only did it add to the fun, but we kept everyone healthy and feeling strong!
